Our Brand

Lisa Maree is an Australian designer label, dedicated to the beautiful, the intricate & the alluring.

The brand was established in 2009 by designer and former model Lisa Maree, the first collection favouring retro crochet swimwear and day-to-night beach wear. Lisa Maree stole the spotlight at Australian Fashion Week and on the tail of this successful debut Lisa Maree followed up with another runway success and launch of her line in the USA on the catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week. Lisa continues to impress global fashion critics with her collections and is a firm favourite among well dressed celebs.

Currently stocked in over 12 countries, the range is available at premium boutiques, exclusive department stores worldwide and is now shipping online worldwide.

Always with affection, the brand continues to grow in brilliant divergence & diversity, maintaining the energy & grace that is the heart of the brand.

Our Approach

Our sustainable practices address all aspects of our operations and the full lifecycle of a garment— the fibers and production processes used, how workers are treated, how it gets to the consumer and finally, whether it can be recycled or is forced into landfill.

We take a holistic approach to well-being, using conscious business practices and a culture of caring in the communities throughout our supply chain. We prioritize fair treatment of our workers and aim to minimise waste and water consumption wherever possible throughout the production of each garment.

All of our crochet swimsuits are hand-crocheted and hand-dyed by women located in small rural communities in developing countries. We support these women who cannot go out to work by re-integrating artisanal products into the global market that are manufactured in their homes. We are able to offer better economic opportunities for these groups while expanding the market for handmade artisanal products. Each suit is crocheted in sections and then pieced together in our central factory, the whole suit taking 18 hours by hand to crochet.
